First, I'll start with the fun times! :o)
1) We had our 2nd mid-wife appointment and got to hear our little ones heartbeat for the first time! I wanted to post the video we took, so you could all hear it too, but I could not get the file to open on Matt's computer. I will try again soon! That was VERY exciting! Plus, we got to take a tour of the birthing unit. That was fun and yet a little un-nerving as it all set in, that in another 6 months, I will be in that room, going through the most pain I have ever been through in my entire life!! Sigh...but, I know it's all worth it and am already excited to meet this new little person! :)
2)Tyson, Connie, and all the kiddos came for a weekend visit!! That was much needed family time! I love them all so much and enjoy our times together. There kids are SO precious to both Matt and I. Wish we all lived closer! Dad and Mom Boyd also came by on their way through to Conneticut for a job Dad had to do. So we got to see them on Friday for a few hours and then again on Sunday the four of us went out to lunch! So nice to see everyone and spend some time together. Sadly, I did not take a single picture while they were all here. :o( Connie took quite a few, so she will have to post some on her blog of our fun times together.
3)But, while the Ashenfelter's were here, we decided to buy Roxy a halloween costume and so here is our adorable "baby" (for now). If you can't tell,....she is Yoda!
4) Then we went to a friends halloween party and Matt and I dressed up as Han Solo and Princess Lei! :o) Don't we look GREAT!??!!
Atanya and I being silly! Fun times!
5) We also had a party with our small group and Matt carved this B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L pumpkin! I don't know if you can see it very well, but he's on the left and me and my prego belly are on the right! :o) CUTENESS!
6) Another exciting thing is we decided which room we were going to use for the baby's room. What was once our office, is now going to become our baby's room. Most everything is ready for the room to be transformed into the nursery, where the other room would have required ALOT of work. All we have to do with this room is replace the windows, repaint, and buy an area rug as there are nice hardwood floors. (a little cold in the winter! :) So, God provided these wonderful windows at a VERY cheap price and so we went ahead and purchased them. They were originally $350 per window, we paid...are you ready???...$100 per window!!!!!! They are impact resistant and have argon in them, which makes them more energy efficient. This is my hubby at the beginning of the project. The windows were really high on the wall and so he had to cut out the drywall for the size of the new windows!
AND VIOLA!!!! Aren't they beautiful! I am so thankful for 1) God providing these cheap, but good quality windows and 2) for a husband that is SO extremely handy and can do projects like this all by himself! (saving us LOTS of money!) The windows make the room look completely different. It allows so much more natural light into the room...it's marvelous! I love it, and it's getting me SUPER excited for what is to come! :) Only another 12 days and we will get to find out what this little wee one is (Lord willing, the baby will cooperate so we can find out). We go in for our complete ultrasound on November 12th! Matt already has that day off, so I took the day off too and we are just going to have a fun weekend together basking in the excitement of this little boy or girl!
Well, I have run out of time...it is time to take a shower and head to bed so I can try to wake up and work tomorrow! Ughhh!! The "hard time" blog will have to come later...until then! Love you all!
HOLY MOLY!
