Recap of Caden's 2nd Month

The Ashenfelter Clan came to visit us May 20-22....as you can see, our son is EXTREMELY loved by his Aunts, Uncles, Nana, Papa, and cousins!  He can't wait to meet the rest of the family!

They were all in love with our little man!

Uncle Tyson & Aunt Connie watched Caden for us so we could go on our first date out together. We saw Pirates 4 and went to Home Depot and to Chic-Fil-A for lunch!  Fun time...and Caden had fun with the fam while they played outside in the kiddie pool.

OUR TRIP TO INDIANA FOR MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!

Nana was SO excited we came to visit them in Indiana!

We partied hard, and poor Mitchell was snoozing right before they left!

All the kiddos wanted in on the action of bathing Caden! They loved helping with him, especially miss Aeva..always there to give him his binki or a burp rag, or a toy, or a blanket...or a diaper and wipes...etc! She was VERY helpful! :)

Connie's gonna hate me for putting this picture in, but Aeva had wet her pants (again!) and they did not have anymore undies or clothes at Nana's so she went around naked for a while...I just thought the site was kinda cute!

My little all-american boy!  I bought this 3 month outfit thinking he would wear it for the 4th of July, but he already fits in it and he's not even 2 months here...oh well!

Caden's first Drive-in Movie!  We say Kung Fu Panda 2 and I forget the other movie, cuz we didn't stay for the whole thing. (I must confess, I fell asleep half way through Kung Fu Panda! Oopss!)

We borrowed Matt's parents SUV so we could lay in the back with Caden. He did pretty well, fussed some, didn't eat very well, but then we gave him some Colic Calm, and then he went out like a light!

Daddy loves to wake Caden up, cuz he's so cute when he's stretching and squirming and smiling at you as he wakes up! He loves his Daddy!

June 7th - 2 months old!

Binki's are a wonderful thing! I like many mother's swore that I wouldn't use one...
that last about 4 - 5 days, and then we caved in! :o)

At his 2 month appointment he weighed 12lbs 15oz, and measured almost 24 inches long!  He's a tall little man!  He is getting more and more fun every day...learning to use his vocal chords and making all kinds of cute sounds.  His smile just melts my heart.  One day I was very frustrated with him cuz he screamed the entire time I was trying to shop at the grocery store...so we got home and I took him out of the carseat and layed him on the floor while I brought the groceries in.  I was still irratated with him, but finally I went over to him and as soon as I looked at him and started to talk to him he gave me the biggest, cutest smile, and that was the end of my frustration!  :o)  Amazing what someone so small can do to your heart!  I love him so much!  Mommy has started back to work - YUCK!  He is doing extremely well.  Grandpa and Grandma Denton watched him one day for the first time and he was perfect for them.  Daddy has taken care of him 2 days this week and they both have done extremely well.  My friend Susan will watch him for the first time on Friday - and I hope he's good for her too!  Mommy on the other hand, has been struggling with being back at work - I haven't had any HUGE emotional breakdowns, just a couple small ones! :)  I am very thankful that I am only back part-time 15-20 hours per week.  But even that is hard - being away from him for 6 hours at a time is hard - I miss him throughout the day and wish I were home taking care of him.  But, I must confess, having adult interaction and such has been refreshing!  I'm still praying that God will make a way for me to stay at home with him! Please pray with me to that end..until then, I'm praying that God will give me the strength to do what He has called me to - Wife, Motherhood and my work!  Lord help me to balance it all and to be faithful with each task and responsibility!

Love to you all...my son is ready to be fed again - I must go be faithful to my "Mothering" responsibilities! :)
