The last couples weeks have been extremely busy! The current state of being for me is EXHAUSTED! I can't seem to ever feel rested. Part of that is due to the attempted breakin we had a little over two weeks ago. Matthew and I have not been sleeping well ever since that happened. The ridiculous person tried to come straight in our front door. I woke up at 1:30am to our door knob being shook and some banging happening on the door. Matthew thankful has his gun license and rushed out of bed with his gun in hand. By the time he got to the door their was no one around. I'm sure they probably heard his gun being cocked and took off. Sigh! Someone trying to get into your home, your safe place, is VERY unnerving. I have been extremely fearful at times and had to completely bathe my mind in scripture just to get myself back to sleep. But, overall, God is still in control, He is our protector, not Matt's gun or the alarm we now have on our door, but God...!!! It has been a learning time for both of us, but also a time in which neither of us are sleeping soundly yet.
Also, last Tuesday afternoon I had a little scare with our little one. I was at work and was making a typical bathroom run when I found that I was spotting a little. Nothing heavy or anything, but nontheless, some blood. I was so scared! I finished my business and went straight to the phone to call my midwife to find out what I should do. She was in with another patient at the time so I left her a message and in the mean time texted my husband who was also in a meeting to let him know what was going on. Finally Colleen called me back and I was able to go over my symptoms with her. She reassured me that as long as it wasn't heavy, bright red, and I wasn't cramping, that it was most likely implantation bleeding which is fairly normal. My anxiety eased a little, and then I spoke with my Mom and Connie and found out that both of them had the same thing happen during one of their pregnancies. Since Tuesday there have been no more alarming episodes and no cramping. So, praise the Lord, we are doing well!
PRAISES:
The positives of the past couples weeks have been...
1) Our baby is continuing to grow and is now the size of a LIME (week 12!! :)
We are almost through the first trimester - PRAISE THE LORD!!
2) Our friends, Matt & Kim had their big baby boy, Levi Matthew on Tuesday, September 28. Weighing in at 10 lbs. 4oz and 21.5 inches long. My friend is a trooper...she had that baby naturally with some help from an epidural! :)

4) I told my boss and my work this week that we are expecting! The news was announced this past Thursday and Friday...what a relief!! It's been hard trying to hide it as I feel my clothes are getting tighter and wearing my "old" clothes just doesn't work very well anymore. I'm really not showing that much...sometimes it depends on the day, with the bloating and such, but my normal shirts just made me look "fat" or like I was gaining a little weight. So, I was trying to wear items that were less form fitting and a little looser around the middle. My boss handled it extremely well...even though I got nervous before we went into our weekly meeting, he was extatic and kept congratulating me! Thankfully, his daughter is also expecting in April, so I think that worked to my advantage! :) Everyone at work is super excited as well! It just feels good to have it out in the open now.
5) Matt and I are getting alot done around and in the house. His goal is to have everything organized by December...probably so he can focus on building the crib with his dad and redoing the baby's room. We are going to tear up the carpet and refinish the nice hardwood floors that are underneath, fix some of the walls, paint, get new closet doors, and replace the OLD 1950 windows that are not very efficient! Lots to do...but we have some good motivation now! :) Matthew has been working SO hard these past few months to really get our house in order. I'm so thankful for all he is and all he's been doing for our family!
Well, I am on the worship team this weekend and I only have a little bit more time before I have to be at the church for practice. So I am going to add the pictures from week 11 and 12 to the slideshow and call it a day! :)
Love you all and thank you for your continued prayers for us! We are so thankful to have such a godly, loving, caring family!

MOM
OK we missed the news about the break in! I know how that fear can grab a hold of you...takes me back to when I was 15...we will definitely be praying for you guys. RE: Insurance - I have never looked at our policy to see what the ICU copays are, or what our out of pocket max is for us, so I have NO idea what we could have potentially paid. Could be 5k ish. The plan was different than what I used to have, and all I knew was it went from like $300 a day for delivery to $500 a day, and I quit researching after I saw that since there was nothing I could do about it. I would highly recommend your friends seeing if the hospital has a financial assistance program, and also I learned from Megan that our insurance, for example, will discount the total if you offer to pay it all at once (and put it on a credit card). There are starting to be many 0% interest offers out there...lots of options. If you/they would like to talk more about that stuffs, let me know! We'll pray for them...and always for you guys and our niece/nephew the lime! ;0
